A Tear Drip. A Veil Slip.

A Tear Drip - A Veil Slip

by

Sundus Mumtaz

I Saw A Face In A Weird Place,
A Tear Dripped & The Veil Slipped...

No Words To Utter, No Hands To Shiver,
What Was The Reason for This Painful River...

I Trembled & Went Near There,
Couldn't Resist I Asked " Whats The Reason Dear? "

A Tear Dropped & The Silence Began,
From Beginning to End She Explained Why She Ran..

Acid Was Thrown,
My Wishes Were Flown...

 Justice, Equality Never Had Existed,
How Long Would My Children Have Resisted?

The Leaders Turned A Blind Eye, Looking at this My Eyes Dried
How Long Were The Nights When My Children Cried!

I Said My Love Wait A Minute More,
Yet She Tightened His Neck With Fingers Four...

Was Hunger The Reason Of This Dread,
Did My Countrymen Not Have a Single Loaf of Bread??

I Lost What I Had & What I lost I Never Had..
This Whole Dilemma Makes Me Sad….

A Final Message For All Those Listening to This

' YOU ARE RICH, YOU ARE PRIME
I AM PAKISTANI IS THIS MY ONLY CRIME '
